The Parts are Rolling In

Before the winter break, the DS5160 servos were sourced from a vendor on AliExpress. The vendor was actually kind enough to give us a student discount by giving us their mass manufacturing price and free express shipping. Even with the discounts this will be the most expensive purchase for the BK9. Our 18 DS5160 servos (we ordered 6 extra) can be seen below.

Over the winter break, the electrical design was finalized with the addition of some circuit protection components and cheaper batteries. The parts were then sourced from Mouser, RobotShop, RCBattery and Amazon. So far we've gotten everything but RobotShop due to the cameras we want being out of stock. We were originally going to wait for the cameras to come back in stock but they keep getting delayed so we've asked to RobotShop to ship us the rest of the components first. The parts should be coming in next week, so it won't be long before we can begin assembling the electrical system of BK9! Checkout the rest of electrical components below:
